Britt Paces Lady Knights in Victory

cambreThe Lady Knights got back to their winning ways Friday night at Heartland by cruising past the Eagles 50-28. Cambre Britt had a break-out game by posting 17 points and playing an important defensive roll in limiting Heartland’s top scorer. “Cambre stayed out of foul trouble and it really paid off,” Coach Rider said.

Maggie Belzer turned in another solid performance with 12 points and Danika Askew added 10. All of the Lady Knights scored on the night and each added very good defensive performances. “Whenever we attack the the opposing team’s guards and pressure the ball, we dictate the tempo and can score plenty of points”.

Joy Tilinski scored 6 points in the win. Naomi Rider and Chalee Britt each had outstanding baseline moves to score a pair each.

The Lady Knights are off until January when they will resume play against Quincy and Life Church. There is a possibility of rescheduling  both games as several of the Lady Knights will be gone.
